The Ultimate Dance Diva Challenge!

At the Show Teachers only should check in to pick up Teacher ID and to turn in their Music to DJ.

Age is determined by the age dancer is on the date of competition. Group age is determined by the average age of group members. (Director may further separate or combine age divisions/categories according to the number of performers)

Check In Only Teacher needs to check in to pick up Teacher ID. Students should not check in, but should be prepared to meet teacher at a prearranged spot.

Competition Stage is Approximately 40 x 60.

Deadline Please make sure your entry is in 30 days ahead of time. We need this time to order & receive all Olympic Miss Dance awards in time. There may be room after the deadline, but you may be charged a late fee.

Dance Categories The following dance categories should contain no gym or acro tricks. Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, & Modern. (lifts, leaps, and splits are permissible). Tricks are allowed in Open, Adagio, Ballroom and Hip Hop. If Judges must move performance to another category, routine may not be eligible for high score awards.

Routines can not be reclassified on Show Day. If routine is in the wrong category, it may be elimated from high point.

Judges Critiques are available (only to teacher).

Music must be good quality, pre-recorded at appropriate volume level & pitch, completely edited, with a max 5 second lead. Good Quality CD's are preferred. Please bring a back up of all music on IPOD or CD..

Note: Performers may not recompete. Once a performer begins dancing, they must continue & finish their routine. No matter what-our fault, your fault, no fault, recompeting is NOT ALLOWED.

Overnight Accommodations Discount Hotel Rooms are on first come Basis. Reserve early under the Olympic Miss Name for best rates.

Payment Information You may mail a check or pay by Pay Pal.

Props All non-dangerous props are allowed to be set-up within a 30 second time frame.

Schedule Studio Schedule and Program Schedule is on the web for review and printing.
Please wait until 2 days prior to the show before you label your music with your performance number.
Every effort will be made to accommodate your needs, however, requests may not be honored if it causes hardship to staff ,judges or other competitors.
On Show day please see the Stage Manager to tell her your needs.

The following info is important for parents, family member & guests

Teachers are responsible their students, parents & guests. Please inform all of the rules. We rely on your well informed family members to help make this a memorable event & a rewarding experience for all.

Admission Hotel Shows - $10. High School
Theatre Shows-Free Admission.
Teachers with proper Dance ID are admitted free.

Conduct Contestants must conduct themselves as ladies and gentlemen during the entire competition. Disorderly conduct is grounds for studio disqualification with entry fees forfeited.

Food Policy With exception of the judges/staff, no food or drink is allowed in theatres, dressing rooms or hotel ballrooms. Venues will offer concession lunch.

Good Sportsmanship & good behavior is expected from all.

Judges Decision Judges decision is final and uncontestable.

Injury Participating in the sport of dance competition can result in injury. Upon entering the competition, parents hold harmless Olympic Miss Dance for injury, damage or loss.

Lost/Stolen Olympic Miss Dance is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced articles. Leave valuables cellphones, cameras, wallets, locked in car or w/ adult in audience not in dressing room.

Miscellaneous Entrants consent to the use of their photograph/ video for ads/promo by the fact of their entrance.

No Recompeting. Please bring a back cd/tape in case your music fails to 'start'. However, once a dancer begins her dance she is committed to finish no matter what. Our ruling is even if your music skips, shuts off, our fault, your fault, or no one's fault, the dancer must continue to dance and finish her routine no matter what, even without music. If a dancer forgets her routine or leaves the stage for whatever reason even her music failing, she is graded upon what she has presented. No recompeting is allowed.

No refunds policy In event dancer cannot attend due to illness, teacher may substitute another dancer or another routine in the same category, same age, same ability. No refunds can be made.

Parents must inform other family members & their attendees of rules.

Program Books are sold at the show with each dancer's name in print.

Video and Cameras Videotaping and Photo taking IS NOT ALLOWED during the competition. Professional services are available.

Failure to abide by any of the above rules is grounds for disqualification with entry fees forfeited.
